To provide flexibility and potential for growth, Guardian telephones are easily and economically connected to any telephone network by standard wiring and components. Voice quality is unaffected when phones are connected within ~ 4,600 metres (15,000 feet) of a main telephones witch accepting single line telephones. Meeting safety standards may require use of special wiring conduits or other considerations. The phone can be factory set for either tone or pulse operation.

Explosion Proof Ringers & Speakers

Guardian’s CE20 Explosion Proof Ringer is designed for use in-doors and out-doors in hazardous areas where flammable gases, vapours or dust may be present. Guardian’s SR40 Explosion Proof unit can be set-up as a loud speaker for paging applications, loud ringer to signal incoming phone calls, or both functions can be combined in one device. Guardian’s SR60 Explosion Proof unit is a high power paging speaker.

CE20 Line Powered Explosion Proof Ringer
Guardian’s CE20 Explosion Proof Ringer utilizes telephone line power, and does not require a separate power source. Maintaining safety standards may require the use of special wiring conduits or other considerations. The CE20 can be ordered separately or as part of an integrated system.

SR40/SR60 Explosion Proof Speaker, Ringer, & Speaker/Ringer
Guardian’s SR40 and SR60 Explosion Proof units generate up to 110 dB. The SR40 can be ordered in ringer configurations of 12/24 or 120/240 volts AC and as a combination ringer/speaker. The SR60 is a 60 watt speaker used in high powered applications. Maintaining safety standards may require the use of special wiring conduits or other considerations.

Telephones are tone/pulse switchable (the switch is inside telephone). Unless requested otherwise, the initial settings are set to tone prior to delivery. PTTI Page/Talk Telephone Interface

Guardian’s PTTI Page/Talk Telephone Interface is designed to connect to a public or private telephone system.

FEATURES and BENEFITS
The PTTI is a telephone interface that connects a Page/Talk system to a public or private telephone system. Outgoing calls can be made from the Page/Talk system to outside telephone lines via an attendant who has access to the phone system and telephone interface, to place and link the call to the Page/Talk system. Once the call has been answered the operator can press the link button to connect the outside line to the systems designated talk line – the designated talk line is the only talk line in a single line system or any one of the lines in a multi-line system, at the installer’s option. Incoming calls from the outside can reach the Page/Talk system either through operator intervention or in one of four accessing modes which can be pre-programmed into the PTTI. When the call is answered it will be transferred to the designated talk line of the system. The operator can disconnect a call at any time by pressing the release button. The PTTI interface provides four different modes of access to the Page/Talk system for each of day and night configurations.
• MANUAL ACCESS: requires operator intervention to answer an incoming call and then manually linking the call to the Page/Talk system.
• RING ACCESS: does not require operator intervention or ID code to connect, as it is automated and will put a ring signal on the page line until answered.
• VOICE ACCESS: does not require operator intervention or ID code to connect, as it is automated and will connect incoming calls and allow the caller to place a voice page onto the page line directly.
• SELECTIVE ACCESS: requires the calling party to know the ID number, therefore adding a level of security to the Page/Talk system.

AG17 Multi-Tone Alarm Generator

The Guardian Telecom AG17 is a reliable ten-tone signal generator designed to work with your general alarm and public address systems. Alarm tone, priority, duration and triggering are all user programmable to meet specific operating safety, and workplace conditions. An Audio override facility also allows voice-paging during tone activation, giving you the ability to deliver voice instructions through Page/Talk intercom stations or other paging sources by completely muting or attenuating the active tone.

Guardian Telecom’s AG17 Multi-Tone Alarm Generator provides a ten tone library of the most commonly used alarm signals and tones to increase the overall capability and effectiveness of your alarm and paging systems.
User programming is straightforward if any of the AG17’s pre-set industry standard defaults need to be changed. You have complete control over which tones activate when alarms and warning conditions specific to your work environment occur. The AG17 lets you determine which signal is given the highest priority and automatically overrides lower priority tones when a higher priority channel activates. Clearly visible LED’s on the front panel indicate the status of each channel.

Override audio/logic inputs have a higher priority than alarm tone signals and suppress any existing alarm tone to broadcast the override. An active alarm can be completely muted or attenuated by 10 dB, 20 dB, or 60 dB to accommodate an override broadcast. The ability to use voice-paging during tone activation means you can deliver messages through Page/Talk intercom stations or other paging sources, even during an emergency situation when clear voice instructions can be critically important.

INSTALLATION AND CONNECTABILITY
The CE100 enclosure is designed to mount flush to any vertical surface. The powder coated steel mounting plate allows for easy mounting from the front of the unit with 1/4” fasteners. For added security, the mounting plate may be removed, and the unit mounted from the back. The housing is also equipped with 1/2” threaded conduit entry.
